God, the prayer has been said many times and the miracle has not yet arrived in the form I have been asking for and I want to be honest about what the length of the waiting has done to the asking. The early urgency has been refined into something quieter and more persistent and possibly more genuine — the faith that keeps coming back not because the evidence is encouraging but because the God being asked is still the same God and the asking is still the right thing regardless of how long the answer is taking. I am still here. Still asking. Not because I have figured out how to not mind the waiting — because I have decided that Your faithfulness is more reliable than my feelings about the timeline. God, before I ask for the next miracle I want to account for the previous ones. The healing that happened and that I said thank You for and then moved on from too quickly toward the next request. The provision that arrived and that I received without sitting long enough in the gratitude of it. The protection that covered me through something I did not know I needed covering from. The relationship that was restored in a way I did not believe was possible until it was. The door that opened when every adjacent door was closed. Every specific, named, this-was-You thing that has happened in the history of my praying. Thank You. For all of it. Dear Lord, it happened. The thing I was asking for — the thing that seemed beyond the reach of what the natural course of circumstances was going to produce — came through. And I want to make this prayer a genuine, unhurried, this-deserves-a-full-stop acknowledgment of what You did rather than a brief note of thanks on the way to the next request. You moved. Dear Lord, I have prayed through every version of the need that this collection could name — the physical, the financial, the relational, the spiritual, the protective, the surrendered, the expectant. And I arrive here at the closing prayer the way every honest prayer arrives — at the simple, full, nothing-remaining-to-manage placing of everything in Your hands. Not because the need has resolved. Not because the miracle has arrived in every case where it was asked for. But because this is the right direction. This is where the need belongs.
