There are seasons that feel less like circumstances and more like an assault. The anxiety that arrived out of nowhere and refuses to leave. The relentless attack on your peace right when things were finally starting to settle. The sudden fractures in your marriage, your family, your faith — happening all at once, from every direction, in a way that feels too coordinated to be coincidence. The enemy does not announce himself. He works in the background, through fear and confusion and discouragement and the slow, steady wearing down of people who never realized they were in a fight until they were already exhausted from one. Scripture is clear that the battle is real — and that it was never meant to be fought with human weapons alone.
That’s exactly what this collection of spiritual warfare prayers is here to arm you with. You’ll find the best prayers for breaking spiritual strongholds, protecting your mind from fear and deception, covering your home and family, standing firm in the authority God has already given you, and the bold, Scripture-grounded declarations that remind the enemy — and remind yourself — whose side is already winning this war. Pray them out loud because there is power in the spoken word. Pray them over your home, your children, your marriage, your mind. Put on the full armor of God every single morning and mean it. The battle is real. But so is the God fighting it with you — and He has never once lost.
Spiritual Warfare Prayers to Stand Firm Against the Enemy
There is a war happening and most of it is invisible. You cannot see it in the way you see a traffic jam or a broken relationship or a medical bill — but you can feel it. The inexplicable heaviness that settles overnight. The fear that arrives fully formed with no traceable source. The thought that sounds like your own voice but is working against everything you are trying to build. The discouragement that shows up most reliably at the exact moment you were about to take a step forward. None of that is accidental. None of it is just your personality or your circumstances or a bad week. There is an enemy and he is strategic. The good news — the only news that matters — is that he has already been defeated by a name that is above every name that could come against you. These prayers call on that name. Not quietly.
A Prayer to Put on the Full Armor of God
Dear Lord, I am not going into this day unprotected. Today I make a deliberate, conscious decision to put on everything You have given me — not as a ritual but as a real act of preparation for a real war. Truth buckled around my waist because the enemy’s first weapon is always the lie and I refuse to walk into his first attack unguarded. The righteousness of Christ across my chest because my own is insufficient for what comes against it. Peace laced onto my feet — the peace that allows me to stand firm when everything around me is designed to make me run. Faith held up as a shield because every fiery dart the enemy fires needs something solid to land against. Salvation settled on my mind. Your Word in my hand — living, active, sharper than anything the enemy carries into this fight. I am dressed. I am ready. Lead me out. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer Against the Enemy’s Assignments
Heavenly Father, I am not going to be passive about what has been sent against my life. The assignment the enemy has deployed — against my peace, my health, my marriage, my children, my calling, my faith — I declare it null and void in the name of Jesus right now. Not eventually. Now. He comes to steal, kill, and destroy and I recognize the pattern when I see it. Every scheme formed against me I bring before the throne of the One who is seated far above every principality, every power, every ruler of darkness, every spiritual force of evil in the heavenly realms. Nothing that has been assigned against me has authority over a life that is covered by the blood of Christ. I stand on that. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer to Resist the Devil
God, Your Word says to resist the devil and he will flee. So I am resisting. Not passively, not fearfully, not with the tentative faith of someone who is not sure this will work — with the settled confidence of a person who knows whose they are and what that name means to every opposing force that hears it. I resist every lie that has been trying to pass as my own thinking. I resist every fear that has been presenting itself as wisdom. I resist the discouragement, the doubt, the confusion, the accusation — every weapon in the enemy’s standard arsenal against a life that is moving in the direction God intended. He has to flee. Your Word says so. I am standing on Your Word. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer to Break Every Stronghold
Dear Lord, a stronghold is a lie that has been believed long enough to become architecture — walls built from wrong thinking that contain my life in a space smaller than You designed it to occupy. I am identifying them today and bringing them before You. The stronghold of fear that has been limiting my obedience. The stronghold of worthlessness that has been suppressing my boldness. The stronghold of shame that has been keeping me at a distance from Your presence. The weapons You have given me are not the weapons of the world — they have divine power to demolish every one of these. Demolish them, Lord. Clear the ground. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer When the Attack Feels Personal
Father, this one feels targeted — like whatever is coming against me right now knows exactly which pressure points to hit and is hitting them without apology. The timing is too precise. The nature of it is too specific. I recognize it. And I am naming it for what it is — a spiritual attack on a life that the enemy has noticed because it matters to You. He doesn’t attack what isn’t a threat. Let me receive that truth alongside the war. Then let me fight from it. I am not fighting for victory — I am fighting from it. The cross settled the outcome. I am just enforcing what has already been declared. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer to Speak to the Mountain
Heavenly Father, You said to speak to the mountain — not about it, not around it, not to the people in the room who can hear me talk about it — to it. So I am speaking to it directly. The obstacle, the diagnosis, the closed door, the broken thing, the situation that has been calling itself immovable — move. In the authority of the name of Jesus, I speak to you the way Jesus spoke to the storm. Peace. Be still. You are not larger than my God and you are not permanent in my life. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in me. Move. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer to Silence the Voice of Accusation
Dear Lord, the accuser has been busy. He has a file on me — a collection of everything I have done wrong, every place I have fallen short, every failure and compromise and return to the same weakness — and he opens it regularly to remind me that I am not qualified for the life You have called me to live. I am going to remind him of something he already knows but apparently needs to hear again. The blood of Jesus closes that file. There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. The record of my debt was nailed to the cross and the debt was paid in full. He has no legal standing in this courtroom. Silence him, Lord. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer for the Courage to Stand
God, spiritual warfare requires a quality of standing that is different from ordinary courage. It is the courage that keeps its feet when every natural instinct says to run, that holds the ground when the pressure is consistent and sustained and designed to make standing feel more costly than retreating. Give me that courage. The kind Paul described — having done everything, stand. I have prayed. I have prepared. I have put on the armor. Now give me the will to keep standing when the battle extends past what I thought I was signing up for. You stood for me. Let me stand for You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer Against Spiritual Blindness
Heavenly Father, I am asking for the eyes of my spirit to be opened — the way Elisha prayed for his servant’s eyes to be opened and the servant saw the mountain full of horses and chariots of fire surrounding what had looked like an impossible situation. Let me see what is actually happening here. Let me see the heavenly forces that are with me, the size of the God who is for me, the finished nature of the victory I am fighting from rather than toward. Open my eyes so that fear is replaced by the perspective of someone who has actually seen the full picture. The enemy is defeated. Let me see it. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer to Declare Greater Is He Who Is In You
Dear Lord, I need to say out loud what is true — because there are moments when the enemy’s noise is so loud that the truth needs to be declared rather than quietly believed. Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world. Not approximately equal. Not a close contest. Greater. The Spirit of the living God who raised Jesus Christ from the dead lives in me — and that power does not diminish because my circumstances are difficult or my faith is thin or the battle has been going on longer than I expected. He is greater. He is always greater. That is the sentence I am choosing to organize my life around today. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Spiritual Warfare Prayers for Your Mind and Emotions
The mind is the enemy’s preferred battlefield. He does not need access to your circumstances to do serious damage — he just needs access to your thought life. One unguarded thought, repeated enough times, becomes a belief. One belief, reinforced long enough, becomes a behavior. One behavior, maintained long enough, becomes a life that looks nothing like what God designed and everything like what the enemy intended. The attack on the mind is quiet, patient, and relentlessly personal. These prayers are for the person who has been fighting not with circumstances but with their own thinking — who recognizes that the most persistent warfare is the kind that sounds like your own voice telling you things that are not true.
A Prayer to Take Every Thought Captive
God, my thought life has been a war zone and I am no longer going to treat it like a passive experience I just have to endure. Your Word says to take every thought captive — that is an active, aggressive, intentional posture toward my own thinking. So today I am taking them captive. Every thought that does not align with what You say about me — captive. Every fear masquerading as wisdom — captive. Every lie dressed in the language of my own self-awareness — captive. I bring them before the obedience of Christ and I evaluate them against truth rather than feeling. What survives that evaluation I keep. What doesn’t — I refuse. Give me the discernment to tell the difference. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer Against the Spirit of Fear
Dear Lord, Your Word is unambiguous — You have not given me a spirit of fear. Which means the fear I am carrying did not come from You, which means it is not something I have to keep. I am returning it to its source. I refuse the spirit of fear that has been occupying the space that power, love, and a sound mind are supposed to fill. I am not doing this because the thing I am afraid of is not real. I am doing it because fear is not the appropriate response to a real threat when the God I serve is larger than the threat. Replace the fear with power. Replace the dread with love. Give me back the sound mind You intended. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer for Freedom From Depression and Darkness
Heavenly Father, the darkness has been thick and I want to name it honestly — not as weakness but as war. There is a spiritual dimension to the heaviness that has settled on my spirit and I am bringing it before You not to perform strength I don’t have but to access the strength You do. You are the God who commanded light to shine in the darkness. Do that in me. Not the managed lightness of someone pretending to feel better — actual light. The joy of the Lord that is my strength. The peace that passes understanding. Come into the specific dark that has settled on me and speak to it the way You speak to everything that was without form and void — with authority that produces exactly what it declares. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer Against the Spirit of Anxiety
God, the anxiety has been loud and persistent and I have been managing it with everything except what actually works. So I am coming back to the thing that works — casting every care on You. Not because the things I am anxious about are small. Because You are large. Because Your Word says You care for me and I am choosing to believe that the care is practical and specific and reaches into the exact details I have been losing sleep over. I cast them — all of them, the named ones and the ones I don’t have language for yet — onto You. I replace the anxiety with petition and thanksgiving and I ask for the peace that passes understanding to guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer to Renew the Mind
Dear Lord, the mind that I have been living in for the last season has been shaped more by fear and disappointment and the world’s narrative than by Your Word. I want a renewed mind — not the one that accumulated all of this over the years, but the one Paul described: transformed, tested, able to discern what is good and acceptable and perfect. Renew it. Come into the old patterns of thinking and begin replacing them — not all at once, because I know this is a process, but consistently, daily, the way the old is gradually displaced when something better is consistently put in its place. Be the something better. Transform what I think and in doing so transform what I live. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer Against Suicidal and Self-Destructive Thoughts
Father, I am going to say plainly what has been happening in my mind because I know that things brought into the light lose the power they hold in the dark. Thoughts have been coming that say my life is not worth living, that the people I love would be better off, that there is no path forward worth taking. I reject every one of them in the name of Jesus. They did not come from You — You came that I might have life and have it abundantly. They came from the enemy who comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I am worth what Christ paid for me. My life has purpose that extends further than my current pain can see. Be louder than these thoughts, Lord. Be the voice I hear. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer When Doubt Has Gotten Loud
God, the doubt has been arguing its case and I want to be honest — the evidence it presents is not nothing. The unanswered prayers, the distance I have felt, the gap between what I was told to expect from faith and what this season has actually produced. I am not dismissing the doubt. I am choosing to outweigh it. I lay on the other side of the scale every evidence of Your faithfulness — every time You showed up, every prayer that was answered, every moment I came to the end of my own strength and found Yours waiting. The scale tips toward You. It always does when I add everything up honestly. I choose faith — not because doubt is absent but because You are present. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer for Peace of Mind in the Battle
Heavenly Father, the battle has been consuming mental bandwidth that was supposed to belong to other things — joy, creativity, presence in the lives of the people I love. The warfare has taken up so much interior space that I am not fully here even when I am physically here. Give me back my mind. The peace that passes understanding — let it guard what the warfare has been trying to occupy. Let me be genuinely present in my own life, genuinely available to the people who need me here rather than perpetually absent in the fog of what I am fighting. You are the God of peace. Bring it. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer Against Shame in the Spiritual Battle
Dear Lord, shame is one of the enemy’s most effective tools because it convinces me that my disqualification is the most relevant thing about me. That who I have been is more decisive than who You are making me. That the enemy’s file on my failures is more authoritative than Your Word on my redemption. I reject every shame-based argument today. I have been washed. I have been sanctified. I have been justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of my God. The enemy does not get to use my past against me when my past has been placed under the blood. I am not what I did. I am what Christ declared when He said it is finished. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer to Guard Your Dreams While You Sleep
God, the enemy does not observe office hours and I am aware that sleep is a vulnerability he has learned to exploit — through the imagery of nightmares, through the anxiety that seeps into rest and makes sleeping another form of effort. I am placing my sleeping hours under Your authority tonight. Let the angels guard what I cannot guard while I am unconscious. Let nothing enter through the channel of dreams that I would reject if I were awake and watching. Speak to me in my sleep the way You spoke to Joseph, to Daniel, to the young Samuel in the temple. Let rest be genuinely restorative and protected and Yours. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Spiritual Warfare Prayers for Your Family and the People You Love
The enemy does not attack in isolation. He attacks networks. He knows that the fastest way to disable a person of faith is to come after the people they would die for — because the love you carry for your family makes you vulnerable in ways that love for yourself does not. These prayers are for the warfare that touches the people closest to you. For the child you can see being pulled in a direction you recognize. For the marriage that is under more pressure than the circumstances alone can account for. For the household where the atmosphere has shifted in ways that feel bigger than anyone’s mood. You cannot be everywhere at once. But you can pray — and prayer reaches the places you cannot physically go.
A Prayer to Cover Your Family in Spiritual Warfare
Heavenly Father, I am covering my family right now — every member, every age, every relationship within this household and the ones that extend beyond it. I put the blood of Jesus over every person I love. I declare the peace of God over every relationship under this roof. I stand against every assignment the enemy has sent against our unity, our faith, our love for each other, and the specific callings You have placed on each individual life. The enemy knows what You are building in this family and he is working to dismantle it. He does not have the final word. You do. This family belongs to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer to Protect a Child in Spiritual Warfare
Dear Lord, I am standing in the gap for my child — standing between them and the specific spiritual assignments I can see forming against their identity, their faith, and their sense of purpose. The enemy recognizes what You put in them before they were born and he has been working against it since they were old enough to receive input from the world. I pray the protection of God over their mind — over every piece of content, every voice, every influence that is working to rewrite the identity You established. What You designed them to be cannot be undone by anything the world sends against it when a parent is praying. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer Against Division in a Marriage
God, I recognize what is happening in this marriage and I refuse to call it only a communication problem or a compatibility issue or a rough patch. There is a spiritual component to the division I am seeing and I am addressing it directly. I bind the spirit of division operating against this covenant. I speak against every lie that says we are incompatible, every accusation that is being amplified beyond its actual size, every misunderstanding that is being weaponized into evidence for something it was never meant to prove. What You have joined together — I am standing on that. Two people who were brought together by a God who knew what He was building. Protect the building. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer for a Prodigal in Spiritual Battle
Heavenly Father, they are somewhere I cannot follow them right now — in a place spiritually and sometimes physically where my voice does not reach and my love is not landing the way I need it to. But Your voice reaches everywhere. The Hound of Heaven does not lose a trail. I am asking You to pursue what I cannot pursue — to be present in the far country, to speak in the language they can hear right now when my language is not getting through. Let something in the life they are living begin to lose its appeal. Let the hunger that only home satisfies start to make itself known. Let the praying I do here reach them there. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer to Break Generational Spiritual Attacks
Dear Lord, I can see the same patterns running through the generations of my family — the same battles wearing different names in different decades, the same vulnerabilities being exploited by the same enemy in the same places. I am standing here, in this generation, and I am saying: it ends here. I do not accept the inheritance of what was not conquered before me. I stand in the authority of Christ who broke every curse and made every spiritual principality a public spectacle at the cross. The generational pattern is not my destiny. My destiny is what You declared over me before the pattern existed. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer When the Home’s Atmosphere Has Shifted
God, something has changed in the atmosphere of this home and I am naming it spiritually rather than just relationally. The tension that settles without clear cause, the irritability that runs through everyone, the way small conflicts escalate past their natural size — I recognize the fingerprints. I pray over this home right now. I invite the presence of the Holy Spirit to fill every room. I bind every spirit of discord, confusion, and division from having influence in this space. This home is a place where the peace of God dwells. I declare it. I stand on it. Let the atmosphere shift back to what it is supposed to be. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer to Intercede for Someone Under Attack
Heavenly Father, I am standing in the gap for someone who cannot stand in it themselves right now. They are deep in a spiritual battle — too close to see it clearly, too exhausted from it to fight with full effectiveness. I am bringing everything I have today and I am spending it on them. Cover them with what they cannot currently cover themselves with. Assign the reinforcements. Let the angels of God be dispatched in response to this intercession. Every assignment of the enemy against their life, their mind, their faith, their family — I declare it broken in the name of Jesus. They are not fighting alone. Neither are they. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer for Spiritual Protection Over Children at School
Dear Lord, they are walking out the door into a world that is working hard to shape them in ways that are not aligned with what You made them for — through the content they absorb, the words spoken over them, the social pressures that ask them to be someone they were not designed to be. Let Your angels go with them. Let the covering that follows them be more powerful than everything the school day sends against their identity and their faith. Give them spiritual discernment beyond their years — the ability to recognize a lie before it settles, to choose what is true when true is the harder option. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer Against Addiction in the Family
God, the addiction has a spiritual root that physical intervention alone cannot reach. I am praying into that root today — directly, aggressively, with the faith of someone who has read what Your Word says about captives being freed and what Your Son’s mission was from the beginning. Break the grip. Not just the behavioral pattern but the spiritual bondage underneath it. Come after the family member who is bound — the one whose choices are scaring everyone who loves them, the one who has not been able to stop no matter how many times they have wanted to. Let this be the prayer that helps produce the breakthrough. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer for a Family Under Financial Attack
Heavenly Father, I recognize that the financial pressure on this family has a spiritual dimension — the way it has arrived in concentrated form at the same time other areas are under attack, the way it is pressing on the marriage and the peace and the faith simultaneously. I address it spiritually before I address it practically. Jehovah Jireh — You see the need before it is spoken and You provide in ways that cannot always be explained by natural circumstance. Provide now. Open the right doors. Close the ones that would cost more than they give. Protect the relationships — the love, the dignity, the unity — from the damage that financial warfare reliably tries to cause. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Spiritual Warfare Prayers to Walk in Victory
Spiritual warfare is not the final destination — victory is. The battle is real and the fight is genuine and the cost of standing firm is significant. But the believer who prays and fights does not do so to earn a victory that has not yet been decided. The victory was decided at the cross. The resurrection announced it. The ascension established it. What the Christian does in spiritual warfare is not attempt to win what is not yet won but enforce what has already been declared. These prayers are from that posture — the posture of a person who is not fighting for victory but from it. Who is not hoping the enemy will be defeated but standing on the settled fact that he already has been.
A Prayer to Walk in the Authority of Christ
Dear Lord, You said the disciples had authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy and that nothing would harm them. That authority was not just for them. It was passed forward through every generation of believers who would carry the same Spirit. I receive it today. Not as a performance or a presumption — as an inheritance. The authority of the name of Jesus is not a magic formula. It is the legal power of the One who holds every title and every name and every position of authority in heaven and on earth. I walk in that today. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer to Declare the Victory of the Cross
God, the cross is not a tragedy with a theological silver lining. It is the most decisive act of spiritual warfare in the history of the universe — the moment when the enemy thought he had won and discovered he had walked directly into the mechanism of his own defeat. I declare that victory over my life today. Over every situation the enemy has been trying to claim. Over every stronghold he thought he had established. Over every lie he has been speaking into my circumstances. The cross happened. The tomb is empty. Death has been swallowed up in victory. That is the ground I am standing on today and it does not shift. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer to Worship as a Weapon
Heavenly Father, Paul and Silas sang at midnight — in prison, in chains, after being beaten — and the foundations shook and every door opened and every chain fell off. Not because the singing was professionally executed but because worship in the middle of a battle declares something the enemy cannot tolerate: that the God being praised is larger than the prison. I choose worship today as a weapon. Not the worship I feel like offering — the worship I choose to offer because You are worthy regardless of what the circumstances are suggesting. Let it shake something. Let it open what has been closed. Let it make the chains fall. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer of Thanksgiving Before the Victory Is Visible
Dear Lord, I am going to do something that looks strange from the outside — I am going to say thank You for the victory before I can see it. Not because I have given up on it arriving visibly but because faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not yet seen. I thank You for the breakthrough that is coming. I thank You for the closed door that is about to open. I thank You for the healing that is in process. I thank You for the prodigal who is turning around. I am speaking to the future from the present with the confidence of someone who knows the God who holds both. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer to Stand After Everything Has Been Done
God, I have done everything I know how to do. I have prayed and fasted and sought counsel and stood on Your Word and refused to surrender — and the battle is still going. So I am going to do the last thing Paul told me to do. I am going to stand. Not in my own strength — in Yours. Having done everything — stand. That is the instruction and that is what I am doing. I am not retreating. I am not making peace with defeat. I am standing on ground that cost the Son of God His life to give me and I refuse to give it up. The battle belongs to the Lord. I stand in it. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer to Release the Angels Into the Fight
Heavenly Father, Your Word shows me an angelic army that is dispatched in response to prayer — the same army that Elisha’s servant saw surrounding the enemy when his eyes were finally opened, the same army that rolled the stone away and sat on it, the same army that struck down 185,000 Assyrian soldiers in a single night. I am releasing them into the specific battle I am in. Let heaven be mobilized. Let the reinforcements that are waiting on the prayer be dispatched by this one. The mountain is full of horses and chariots of fire. Let them move. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer to Declare No Weapon Shall Prosper
Dear Lord, Your Word says no weapon formed against me shall prosper — and I am standing on that declaration today over every weapon I can identify and every one I cannot. The weapon of illness — it shall not prosper. The weapon of financial destruction — it shall not prosper. The weapon of division in my relationships — it shall not prosper. The weapon of false accusation — it shall not prosper. The weapon of depression and despair — it shall not prosper. Not because my defense is strong enough. Because Your Word is settled in heaven and it does not return void and it says: no weapon. Not some weapons. Not most weapons. No weapon. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer for the Overcoming Life
God, Your Word describes believers as overcomers — people who overcome the world through faith, who overcome the enemy by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. I want to live an overcoming life — not a life that is merely surviving the warfare but one that consistently gains ground in it. Give me the faith that overcomes. The testimony that builds on each victory until the accumulation of evidence makes the faith stronger than it started. The daily practice of standing that produces the character of a person who does not collapse under pressure because they have learned over time that pressure is where You show up most clearly. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Prayer to Finish Strong
Heavenly Father, I want to finish this race well. Not just start it with bold prayers and fervent faith and then fade quietly in the middle miles when the battle has been going on longer than the initial excitement lasted. Give me the endurance that goes the distance — the faith that holds up under sustained pressure, the love that does not grow cold when the world grows harder, the hope that remains anchored when the circumstances argue against it. Paul said he had fought the good fight and finished the course and kept the faith. I want to say that. Let me live in a way that earns it. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A Closing Prayer to Secure the Victory
Dear Lord, I have come to the end of these prayers and I arrive at the same place every prayer for spiritual warfare should arrive — the cross. Not because the cross is a comfortable idea but because it is the most violent, decisive, irreversible act of spiritual warfare the universe has ever witnessed. The enemy’s power over me was broken there. My sin was dealt with there. Death was disarmed there. Every principality and power was made a public spectacle there. Everything I have prayed in these pages is possible because of what happened on a Friday afternoon outside Jerusalem when the Son of God said it is finished — and meant it with a finality that no enemy, no stronghold, no weapon, no darkness, no height or depth or anything else in all of creation has ever been able to undo. I stand in that finished work today. I fight from that finished work. I live in the victory that finished work declared. The battle is real. The enemy is active. And he has already lost. In Jesus’ name — the name above every name, the name at which every knee bows, the name the enemy cannot hear without knowing what it means for him — amen.
